In case you were stuck under a rock last night, the 2009-10 NBA preseason kicked off last night for the Celtics down in Texas as the C’s took on the Houston Rockets.

Stat of the Night for last nights game:

K. Garnett: 13:18 minutes

Period.

Forget about the 6 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals. For Celtics fans, the most important thing coming off of last season is season Kevin Garnett back on the floor and playing basketball.

In my opinion, Garnett looked decent, but still not 100%. He running wasn’t that fluid, but his “game presence” and jump shot looked to be back in fine form.

“An MRI on Bill Walker’s right knee revealed a torn meniscus and he will miss six to eight weeks, meaning the Celtics would have to carry an injured Walker on their roster into the regular season. Walker left Wednesday’s practice with a sore knee and returned to Boston for further examination.”

Big Baby Davis is back with the team. Personally, I didn’t care either way about Davis. He is a solid role player, but I would much rather have seen Powe stay with the club than Davis.
